NEW DAY AND NEW DIRECTION
My work experience and knowledge has led me to the place I am today in my career.
I could continue down the path of representing injured workers on each case basis. I can be success through the Appeal System with my understanding of Legislation and Policy and the WCB interpretation.
What I can not change is the WCB administration, the culture, lack of experience and compassion that is not recognized at any level in the Compensation System only by the Victims of Compensation.
My new platform to advocating has been created to let People gain knowledge from my expertise, be informative and provide some scenarios including the tragedy and humor that I have seen
Related Career History: Since 1980 when I started at the Alberta Workers Compensation Board, I have always been dedicated to attempt to make a difference in the Compensation System “from inside looking inside” and since 2007 “from the outside looking in te Compensation System”
I have heard so many cries for help from the Victims of System, that in my opinion is broken. Because of these cries I have advocated for workers and for change in the System.
I believe my plea for change has had impact on claim decisions, yet the plea has not been heard overall from the Government or the WCB Organization.
I stand by my opinions:
Any change in the System that is detrimental to workers is not “Just or Fair”
Working with workers has been a pleasure. I have dedicated my time on each and every claim that have looked. My compassion goes out to all that are injured.
The WCB system was created for several reasons and one reason was to remove the ability for workers and employers to take legal action against each other when work related injuries occur.
I am not a lawyer.
